About us.

Playhouse is an Amsterdam-based theater company.
An International group of people who are out to have fun and bring great productions to live!

We are founded in 2022 and performed our first show: The Portuguese Kid in April 2022 at the Badhuistheater, Amsterdam. 
And we did it again in September '22 for a 2nd run.

June 2023 we were back with a 2nd show called It's Raining Money by Sébastien Thiéry.   

November / December 2023 we did a collaboration show with
​The InPlayers called The Surprise Guest. It was a huge success.
March and April 2024 we brought the play back for one final run.

October 2024 we will be back with our 4th show
It's very fun comedy called The Odd Couple by Neil Simon! 

OUR GROUP

Our group was founded by Jon Calado, Brian Ligthart and Borislava Kopsky.
Jon directed ''The Portuguese Kid''. Brian was assistent director and producing. 

The 2nd play ''It's Raining Money'' was directed by Jon again and Co-directed by Brian. Both produced it. Brian did the set design.

 The 3rd play ''The Suprise Guest'' was directed by Jon again and Co-directed by Brian. Both were producers with Katya Petrova and Ente Breed.
​Joanna Theodorou did the set design.

 The 4th play ''The Odd Couple'' will be directed by Jon again and Co-directed by Brian. Both are producers. Brian does the set design.
